Indian origin contestant Depinder Chhibber, who had been serving up some delectable dishes one after the other in season 13 of Masterchef Australia, is the latest contestant to get eliminated.
Depinder had been putting Indian food in the forefront and each of her dishes would take the judges – Jock Zonfrillo, Andy Allen and Melissa Leong by surprise.
The Delhi-born contestant was one of the most popular contestants of this season and in one of the task, she had wooed the judges with Indian dishes like Tandoori Chicken, Kadhai Paneer, Chhole and Smoked Lassi. In the episode, Depinder revealed that she attempted to cook tandoori chicken for the very first time as usually it’s her husband who would cook the dish. Post that task, Depinder was happy when the judges were bowled over with her dish.
In the elimination task, was held outside of the Masterchef Kitchen in Australia's Northern Territory. They were given some of Australia’s native spices as elements to cook in the task. She was up against Kishwar, Tommy and Pete.

Depinder took to Instagram to share her experience and wrote, “And….what an incredible journey. Even though my time on MasterChef has sadly come to an end, this isn’t the end of my food journey. In fact it’s the beginning of my food dream #masterchefau”

Her elevated and progressive modern version of Indian cuisine was loved and applauded in the kitchen. Even netizens were upset when she got eliminated.
