It is no secret many Canberrans dream of country living proximate to the city.
A chance for that lifestyle has come on the market.
Just 10 minutes' drive from Queanbeyan, the 80-hectare property at 283 Wanna Wanna Road, Carwoola, is turn-key ready for its next owner.
The tree-covered block has three dwellings, including two one-bedroom, one-bathroom granny flats and a larger house.

"The studio pods are only a few years old, so they are fine to [move straight into]," selling agent Ryan Broadhurst of Belle Property said.
The main house is a four-bedroom, one-bathroom open-plan home with a wrap-around verandah.
Images show beautiful views of large gumtrees, framed by Canberra's mountains.

"It is a great lifestyle block for a young family," Mr Broadhurst said.
The house has a large family and dining room, more than 10 metres in length, which could fit a pool table or 10-seater table.

High, wood-cladded ceilings against white walls help the house feel light and spacious, making the most of surrounding bushland.
A feature fireplace, built into a stone wall, keeps the house cosy through winter months while creating a focal point for the living area.

The clay-coloured kitchen with a historic oven is also a unique feature of the house, ideal for someone who enjoys adding their own style to a home.
Outside, the property has three dams and ample tracks for walking or enjoying bush lifestyle.

The property has an asking price of $2.495 million, which Mr Broadhurst said was a major drawcard for such an unusual property.
"There is nothing of this size so close to Canberra," he said.
"You are usually looking at 10- to 20-acre block in this region.
"Ones this size are few and far between, especially on the Queanbeyan side [of Canberra]," he said.
A 134-hectare property sold in Tharwa, south of Canberra, in July 2024.

Prior to this, the last property over 80 hectares to sell in Canberra's greater region was in 2021.
Clear land around the house and a long driveway are all part of a block Mr Broadhurst said would suit a local business owner well.
"For tradespeople, you could have all your equipment on site close to home. That seems to be the demographic for [large blocks] lately."
The property is zoned to allow several six-hectare subdivisions.
