A huge new Decathlon sports store is set to open in West Lothian this month bringing 20 new jobs with it.
The company is opening it's first West Lothian store at Almondvale West Retail Park at midday on May 26.
As well as the usual sportswear, the 1,500sqm unit will also be stocking a large camping section, with a vast range of hiking and outdoor wear.
In addition, Edinburgh Live reported there will also be quality sports clothing, equipment and accessories for over 70 different sports.
Ben Hatton, Decathlon’s Scotland Leader, said: “Decathlon’s mission has always been to make the fun and benefits of sport more accessible for the many. Our new Livingston store is strategically located to be easily accessible to a huge portion of the Scottish population.
"“We’re ideally located with fantastic transport links, and we’re also surrounded by some of the best countryside spots in the country, so we hope that the store will act as a melting pot where adventurous Scots can come together as they explore the great outdoors, try a sport for the first time, or just stocking up on their sporty essentials!”
In addition to brand new products, the store will also be selling a "second life" collection, which sees Decathlon repair sports equipment so that they can be reused by customers and reduce waste, will be available to customers in the store at a discounted price - benefitting shoppers and the planet at the same time.
