Massive home up for grabs near historic park

A sprawling end of terrace located in one of the most vibrant areas of south Liverpool has gone on the market.

The seven-bedroom, two-bathroom property is on Halkyn Avenue, off Ullet Road, and just minutes away from the beautiful Sefton Park . It's also near the bustling Smithdown Road and not far from Lark Lane .

Despite being on a relatively busy street, the property is tucked away behind high hedge roads. Not only does it have numerous bedrooms, it has an abundance of living space with three reception rooms.

The entrance hall gives way to the reception rooms at the front of the house, the larger of which boasts two beautiful bay windows that fill the space with natural light.

While the owners have put their own stamp on the interior, there are numerous original features throughout the property, including the ornate decorative ceiling in one of the lounges.

The monochrome kitchen has slick white cabinets and grey tiling, bringing a modern edge to the period home. There's also a large, open plan dining space attached to the kitchen, with French doors providing access to the compact, paved outdoor space.

The bedrooms are spread across the upper two floors and are generously sized with high ceilings.

There are five bedrooms in total on the first floor, the master of which has its own en-suite, as well as a family bathroom complete with a tub and walk-in shower unit. The final two bedrooms are on the second floor, the larger of which has a bare brick chimney breast.

The property is on the market with Jones and Chapman, who called it "truly stunning", for £575,000.

According to Rightmove, the overall average price of a house in L17 was £248,553, although semi-detached homes went for £307,170.

The overall average is a 4% hike on the previous 12 months and is 17% higher than the 2018 peak.
