Chris Sutton has praised Celtic for defeating BSC Young Boys on Wednesday night, describing it as a "massive achievement" for the club.
This landmark win marks a significant moment in Celtic's history, as it sees Brendan Rodgers' squad advance to the UEFA Champions League knockout stage for the first time in 12 years.
Rodgers insisted that he was always calm and confident his side would find a breakthrough despite Arne Engels missing a first half penalty and having three goals ruled out before the ball was finally in the net for real on the 86th minute.
But Sutton reckons the Celtic manager was fibbing and went on to suggest that the next stage of the top-tier European competition will be where the runaway Scottish Premiership leaders are judged.
Speaking on BBC's Match of the Day, the ex-Celtic striker said: "I'm not going to disagree with Brendan Rodgers, but he must be lying!
"How could he have stayed calm? They made heavy weather because of the nature of the game, Young Boys bottom of the group, barely scored a goal, conceded the most goals, and on their third manager of the season.

"It was fine margins in the first half, you could say poor play as well from Celtic to be caught offside. Normally Kyogo's movement is on point but tonight it wasn't.
Callum McGregor was sensational in the first half, everything went through him.
""And then Celtic got the penalty, Young Boys might have thought that was soft but there was a little tug on Taylor. Then Arne Engels, who has been pretty good from the penalty spot for Celtic, that is a really tame effort with the little stutter.
"Second half, I thought that Celtic lost control. Then they made the sub and brought Adam Idah on, and he's claiming that goal – not even I would claim that goal! But it's a wonderful pass from Hatate. Brilliant play from Hatate with the ball through to Idah.
"What an important goal, because a draw and Celtic would have been in all sorts of pressure going into the game against Aston Villa next Wednesday. That puts them through, and that is a massive achievement bearing in mind all the pressure on at the start of the season. This is where Celtic are going to be judged this season."
