A crash has shut down the Bellfield Interchange in Kilmarnock this afternoon.
The smash, between a car and motorbike, took place just before 2pm, according to eye-witnesses.
Emergency services are currently at the scene with one ambulance, a Scottish Fire and Rescue appliance and a few police cars racing to the crash.
The A71 westbound and eastbound lanes (Riccarton Road), near the services coming from Hurlford, appear to be blocked.
Motorists are reporting huge tailbacks on the roundabout, known as the Q8.
This is also causing massive delays for drivers exiting the A77.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.50pm on Friday, May 20, police were called to Riccarton Road, at the Bellfield Interchange, following a report of a crash involving a car and a motorbike. Emergency services remain at the scene.”
