The NFL wrapped up its regular season this past weekend and the playoffs are set. This means the order for the first round of the 2024 NFL draft is set for any team out of the tournament. As we prepare for this week’s slate of games, we thought it was only right to offer up a huge three-round mock draft update.
There are lots of changes this week with the shuffling of the draft order, coaches coming and going from teams and our continued breakdown of the top prospects as they declare.
1 - Chicago Bears - WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State
We kept Harrison here at the top but he’s going to need strong offseason workouts to hold onto it.
2 - Washington Commanders - QB Drake Maye, North Carolina
With the Commanders making big changes, going with a new quarterback makes the most sense.
3 - New England Patriots - QB Caleb Williams, USC
Another team that could be headed to a new head coach with it a new quarterback.
4 - Arizona Cardinals - OT Joe Alt, Notre Dame
We haven’t given up on Kyler Murray yet so we pass on a quarterback here for an offensive tackle.
5 - Los Angeles Chargers - WR Malik Nabers, LSU
The Chargers must get some weapons for Justin Herbert and Malik Nabers is an elite weapon in this draft.
6 - New York Giants - WR Rome Odunze, Washington
We were tempted to put a quarterback here but we want to see what happens with Daniel Jones with a weapon like Odunze.
7 - Tennessee Titans - OT Olu Fashanu
The Titans offensive line is a mess so getting Fahsnau is an ideal pick.
8 - Atlanta Falcons - QB Jayden Daniels, LSU
With Atlanta planning on a new head coach, upgrading with their quarterback is just smart business.
9 - Chicago Bears - DL Jer'Zhan Newton, Illinois
The Bears go back on the clock and get a dominant interior defensive lineman.
10 - New York Jets - OT Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State
The Jets probably need a quarterback just the value isn’t here so we went with a franchise left tackle instead.
11 - Minnesota Vikings - DB Cooper DeJean, Iowa
The Vikings are another team that needs a quarterback but just goes for value instead.
12 - Denver Broncos - QB Michael Penix Jr., Washington
The Broncos select Penix as they move on from Russell Wilson.
13 - Las Vegas Raiders - CB Nate Wiggins, Clemson
The Raiders have a ton of needs to we opted for the best player available on the board with Nate Wiggins.
14 - New Orleans Saints - OT JC Latham, Alabama
The Saints need multiple players but you can’t pass on a franchise offensive tackle.
15 - Indianapolis Colts - CB Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama
The Colts have built a really solid offense so we opt for help on defense here.
16 - Seattle Seahawks - EDGE Jared Verse, Florida State
The Seahawks love adding pass rushers and there isn’t a better one in this draft than Verse.
17 - Jacksonville Jaguars - EDGE Dallas Turner, Alabama
Jacksonville probably needs other positions more that don’t have the value here so we opt for Turner to bolster the defensive line.
18 - Cincinnati Bengals - TE Brock Bowers, Georgia
If Bowers falls this far, he’s the biggest bargain of the first round to the Bengals.
19 - Green Bay Packers - OT Amarius Mims, Georgia
The Packers get an elite pass protector for their franchise quarterback.
20 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - CB Terrion Arnold, Alabama
We love the fit of Terrion Arnold with the Bucs defense.
21 - Arizona Cardinals - WR Brian Thomas Jr., LSU
Brian Thomas might be the most underrated deep threat in the draft and a fast riser in a crowded receiver class.
22 - Los Angeles Rams - QB Bo Nix, Oregon
The Rams might not need a quarterback in 2024 but Bo Nix for the future is too good to pass up.
23 - Pittsburgh Steelers - S Tyler Nubin, Minnesota
Pittsburgh dealt with tons of injuries at safety last season and need some youth and athleticism.
24 - Miami Dolphins - OT Jordan Morgan, Arizona
Injuries along the offense line have been brutal for the Dolphins so the more talent they can add the better.
25 - Philadelphia Eagles - CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr., Missouri
The Eagles add Rakestraw here to help fill some potential gaps in the secondary from free agent losses.
26 - Kansas City Chiefs - WR Troy Franklin, Oregon
The Chiefs need help at wide receiver and Troy Franklin can pull the top off a defense.
27 - Houston Texans - EDGE Laiatu Latu, UCLA
We want to see more consistency from Latu but getting him this late with his upside is a bargain.
28 - Detroit Lions - DE Bralen Trice, Washington
Bralen Trice is a great traditional defensive end with the burst to rush the passer and the strength to hold up against offensive tackles.
29 - Buffalo Bills - EDGE Chris Braswell, Alabam
There isn’t much the Bills need but getting a player to replace Von Miller makes a lot of sense and Braswell is an excellent prospect.
30 - Dallas Cowboys - DL Leonard Taylor III, Miami
Taylor can rush the passer from defensive tackle or end and is a great fit in the Cowboys defensive front.
31 - San Francisco 49ers - CB Kamari Lassiter, Georgia
The 49ers have a very deep roster so we go with the best player available here with Kamari Lassiter.
32 - Baltimore Ravens - WR Keon Coleman, Florida State
The Ravens could see a transition at wide receiver in the offseason so we opt for Keon Coleman to give Lamar Jackson another weapon.
