A mass rammy broke out at a Digga D concert in Glasgow last night amid claims of fake tickets and long queues.
Police were called to the O2 Academy on Eglinton Street after the alarm was raised during the rapper's concert on Monday night. Footage shared on social media shows dozens of officers at the scene.
Two 16-year-old boys were nicked for threatening and abusive behaviour. It is understood crowds of youngsters were unable to access the venue amid fighting outside, fake tickets and drunk teens.
One worried mum posted on social media saying: "There was a major police presence and ambulances at the O2 academy for the Digga D concert.
"I’ve brought my kids home but there were loads of fights, really drunk kids and a few looking in a bad way taken away in ambulances. Apparently all the fighting broke out because of fake ticket sales so literally hundreds of kids outside that couldn’t get in."
Another said: "I was standing outside the O2 from 9.30 when all hell broke loose. It was disgusting, a lot of upset kids because of fake tickets. There ended up a riot, kids crying, people throwing bottles at cars and on the road."
Another dad said: "Bought my son tickets for his birthday to attend the Glasgow show last night, but he never even made it into the venue because of street violence caused by fans outside in the queue."
It's understood over a dozen police vehicles raced to the scene as things got heated after some revellers waited in the queue for several hours.
One passer-by said: "What happened at the O2 Academy tonight? I counted nine police cars, three police vans and an ambulance."
Another said: "The amount of police after the Digga D gig in Glasgow was f****** insane. Like 14/15 cars all up the road. Madness."
A third added: "I stopped counting at seven police cars and those were just the ones in the middle of the road."
Police Scotland confirmed two male youths were arrested, both aged 16.
The O2 Academy has been approached for comment.
