Chelsea could reportedly be forced to make a decision on Mason Mount's future in the summer after talks over a new deal came to nothing.
That’s according to a Mike McGrath of The Telegraph, who is reporting that there has been no breakthrough in the contract talks between Mount and Chelsea, and the West London club will have a decision to make in summer if no agreement is reached.
The report goes on to claim that some at Chelsea are resigned to the England international not wanting to sign up to the club's project going forward. The 24-year-old is set to enter the final 12 months of current deal this summer.

Mount has made 189 appearances for Chelsea since breaking through into the first team in 2017.He has also contributed 33 goals and 37 assists, winning the Champions League in 2021 under Thomas Tuchel.
The Guardian last month reported Chelsea had stepped up their efforts to tie down Mount to a new long-term deal in the capital and later claimed Liverpool are 'monitoring the situation closely and have been putting plans in place for a summer move'.
“I have always been so focused on my football since I was in the academy,” Mount told The Evening Standard back in November. “I know now there is a lot more media focus on me, but I do not look too much into that. I block it out.”
