Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has hailed a 'brilliant' Elland Road atmosphere, following Leeds United's defeat on Tuesday evening. The Whites suffered a disappointing blow in their bid to remain in the Premier League this season, as goals from Mount, Christian Pulisic and Romelu Lukaku sunk the side.
United next face Brighton away from home this weekend, before returning to West Yorkshire to host Brentford on the final day of the 2021/22 campaign. Now currently occupying the division's third and final relegation place heading into the final two rounds of fixtures, Jesse Marsch's side had their backs firmly against the wall following Dan James' early dismissal too.
Mount expressed his joy of being to play at United's famous stadium following the Blues victory, insisting it is one he holds in very high regard.

"Yeah, it was a fun one. I do love playing here, it has a lot of history, the fans are brilliant, they don’t like us too much but it was a great atmosphere," began the 23-year-old.
"But as soon as we got the goal, we quietened the stadium down a bit and we got the ball down and could play our stuff and that what was injected in the first half."
"I was reading the programme before the game and it said we need to make the stadium as hard as we can to play in or something like that, so when you you come here it is going to be tough but we loved it.
"It was a massive game for both teams tonight, not just for us, we needed a win after a couple of poor results. We needed the win tonight and now we move onto Saturday," concluded the England international."
With Everton also managing a point at already relegated Watford this evening too, manager Frank Lampard also paid homage to his former team, insisting the Londoners did his side a much needed favour.
Everton do still have a game in hand over United, with Brentford, Crystal Palace and Arsenal still to come.
