Mason Mount is desperate to end his and Chelsea’s recent failures at Wembley when they meet Liverpool in next month’s FA Cup final. The Blues beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in Sunday's semi-final thanks to second-half goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mount to book a fourth meeting of the season with Jurgen Klopp's side on May 14.
The two teams met in the Carabao Cup final in February which Liverpool won on penalties after an entertaining goalless draw. The Blues have also suffered successive defeats in their last two FA Cup finals, to Arsenal and Leicester, respectively, making it three losses in the last three years in Wembley showpieces.
Mount also lost the 2019 Championship play-off final whilst he was on a season’s loan at Derby County, and the 23-year-old was in the England side that lost the Euro 2020 final to Germany on penalties at the same venue last July. "It’s definitely time for us to win a final at Wembley," he said. "It’s five finals I’ve lost. Now it’s time to get our payback (against Liverpool)."

Klopp’s side booked their place in the final with a 3-2 win over Manchester City in Saturday’s semi-final and are chasing an unprecedented quadruple after an outstanding season on both domestic and European fronts. Both league games between Chelsea and Liverpool ended all-square and another tight encounter is expected when the two sides meet in May.
Next up for the Blues is a home clash with London rivals Arsenal on Wednesday night as they look to wrap up third spot in the Premier League.
