Mason Mount breaks silence amid Manchester United transfer as Fred issues future admission

Here are your Manchester United evening headlines for Sunday, June 4.

Mount issues response to joining United

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount avoided answering questions about his future after agreeing personal terms with Manchester United.

The England international is currently at the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix, with teammate Ben Chilwell and last season's loan man Joao Felix. United have agreed personal terms with England international Mount, with him still yet to agree a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

United have been linked with Mount for the past couple of weeks, with Liverpool having been the main big six club said to be interested in the 24-year-old. Mount's deal expires at Chelsea in the summer of 2024 and a departure in the upcoming transfer window looks more likely as the days and weeks go on - though a fee is yet to be agreed.

Mount was approached during Sky Sports' coverage of the Spanish Grand Prix, where Martin Brundle asked him about his future.

Here is what he had to say and also what a Chelsea teammate had to say on his future.

Fred's transfer admission as United consider sale

Fred admits he needs to discuss his future with Erik ten Hag as Manchester United contemplate selling him in the summer transfer window.

The Manchester Evening News revealed earlier this week that Fred has emerged as a target for Fulham amid his uncertain future at Old Trafford.

Fulham manager Marco Silva was filmed speaking with Fred following their clash on the final day of the Premier League season, and it is understood intermediaries have already proposed a possible move for the 30-year-old this summer.

Fred was the only outfield player to feature in every United matchday squad this season, but he could be allowed to leave as United look to recruit a younger midfielder. His last appearance might be the FA Cup final loss to Manchester City.

Here is what he had to say when quizzed about his future.
