Masked Singer host Joel Dommett says he wants to try for a baby with wife Hannah Cooper - but first they are going to do a bucket list of weird and crazy things.
The 36-year-old TV star and stand up comic has been with fashion model Hannah for five years but their relationship is set to take on some new challenges.
Joel said: “My big thing this year is I want to work more with Hannah, and so we decided to set up a podcast, and it’s called Never Have I Ever.
“So the idea is that basically we are going to start trying to have kids in the next couple of years or so. And we thought we should probably do as many things as possible before we have children or try to have children.
“The premise is that we get three suggestions, one from a producer, one from a listener and one from me and Hannah of activities to try.
“And then we decide on one activity per week and then we discuss it on the next episode of how it went. So we just basically are figuring out a new hobby for all of us.
“So I’m excited, man. We have just started recording and I think it’s going to be really fun.
Reflecting on the years ahead, he added: “I’m fully aware that your life isn’t over when you have kids, but it’s much harder to do things. So we are just like, ‘Let’s just do as many things as we can from the banal to the mad and exciting’.”
Joel is riding high from the success of family friendly show The Masked Singer, which reaches the semi-final stage this weekend.
He told the Mirror last weekend that there were still some shocks ahead for viewers and several names had not been mentioned in all the speculation online.
Joel and wife Hannah share lots of insights into their relationship on social media having first met when they messaged on instagram and went on to marry in 2019.
Asked the secret of a successful marriage, Joel said: “I think we really love hanging out together and also just good communication. Whenever I’ve got an issue, we say it and we just kind of, we just like each other.
“Oh and we have separate bathrooms, I think that is the key. I have the en suite and she has the bathroom for the main house.
“So like with me, all of my mess and my beard trimmings although I do to keep my bathroom quite tidy, it’s my mess. And then like she’s got all her makeup and it is all tidy. Just having those two separate bathrooms, I think that’s the key for a happy marriage.”
*Joel and Hannah’s new podcast is expected to be launched later this month. The Masked Singer continues on ITV on Saturday night at 7pm.
