Aled Jones has opened up about his experience as Traffic Cone on Masked Singer - admitting that he found singing in his costume really difficult.
The singer, 51, appeared on Lorraine today after being eliminated at the weekend during the ITV show's semi-final alongside Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams.
Lorraine Kelly asked: "Was it not awfully hot in there?”
“So sweaty," he replied. "My first piece, Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley, I had one rehearsal. I went on, and after the first phrase I thought I was going to have a heart attack - it’s so heavy. Honestly it was awful."
Aled revealed that most of his friends had managed to guess it was him after performing his second song, When Somebody Loved Me from Toy Story.
Lorraine probed: "Did anyone in your family guess?"
"No," he said. "Actually my son would hardly watch it. He was dying of embarrassment. A lot of my friends said, ‘It’s you!’ after the second week, but of course I kept the secret."
However, he said that his daughter Emelia "laughed out loud solidly for the whole thing" when she saw him on the show.
Aled added: “It’s the most bonkers and fun thing I’ve ever done. Actually, it was so liberating because I didn’t care about the voice, where usually as a classical singer you have to think about every note."
Following Michelle and Aled's unmasking, three stars are left competing in the final for the title.
Mushroom, Robobunny and Panda are the final three left in the competition, with last year's winner Joss Stone set to return to the competition.
The 34-year-old chart topping star stunned fans of the second series of The Masked Singer when she won the contest while dressed as a giant sausage.
Joss will be returning to the show this Saturday night – but will pull up a chair alongside judges Rita Ora, 31, Jonathan Ross, 61, Mo Gilligan, 33, and Davina McCall, 54, instead of singing on stage.
But she won’t be the only past contestant featuring on the finale – as series one winner Nicola Roberts, 36, is set to return as are former contestants Jason Manford, 40, and JLS singer Aston Merrygold, 33, who are to duet with the remaining contestants.
