Masked Dancer UK fans convinced Pearly King is EastEnders legend - but not Danny Dyer

The Masked Dancer UK viewers think they've worked out who is under the Pearly King costume, after previous guesses.

EastEnders ' Ian Beale actor Adam Woodyatt is tipped to be the celebrity donning the costume, as predicted by fans.

After a series of clues, viewers were quick to guess the mystery act was none other than an EastEnders star - after he was described as the 'Beast from the East End'.

Clues for the star under the lion-themed costume included the letter D, references to Cockney rhyming slang and being an actor.

He stated he is often mistaken for his character, while there was also a deck of cards - and he's not afraid of "hard work".

Initially, many viewers predicted it could be Mick Carter actor Danny Dyer, or Alfie Moon star Shane Richie.

But on reflection, some viewers changed their thoughts with many thinking it was Ian actor Adam, who has been off of the BBC soap since last year.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "I think it's Ian Beale."

Another guessed: "Pearly King is Adam Woodyatt ( Ian Beale)," as a third fan said: "Ian Beale. Pearly King Adam Woodyatt."

It comes after Pig was exposed as Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page in the latest episode.

No one guessed Joanna was Pig, leaving her thrilled - especially after some of the panel named male celebrities.

She said: "I had a fantastic time, it's been absolutely amazing. The children don't know or anything so I am very excited because this is their favourite programme."

Meanwhile, the first elimination of the series prior to this saw Astronaut unmasked as Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe.

In the first edition, Candlestick, Scissors, Astronaut, Odd Socks, Prawn Cocktail and Pillar and Post took to the stage - with Candlestick, Astronaut and Pillar and Post dancing it out for survival.

Initially, many viewers predicted it could be Mick Carter actor Danny Dyer (BBC/Kieron McCarron/Jack Barnes)

Astronaut did not prove to be a hit, and was soon unmasked by the panel - and many couldn't believe it when Jesse appeared.

When asked why he decided to take part, Jesse said: “I thought it would be fun because dance is something that really intimidates me so it's a fear that I wanted to face.

"This has been unbelievable, it's one of the most zany things I’ve ever done in my career but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself.”

The Masked Dancer airs on ITV at 6.30pm on Saturdays.
