The Masked Dancer's Candlestick has been unveiled as Bake Off star Liam Charles on the ITV show tonight.
While judges Peter Crouch and Mo Gilligan were convinced that Olly Murs was behind the unique outfit, they were left completely stunned when Candlestick was unveiled as ITV star Liam.
Fans of the ITV guessing game tuned in for another exciting show, which saw the four panellists - Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse and Peter Crouch - joined by Mo Gilligan as the end of the competition draws near. Just six Masked Dancers remained but they were whittled down to five today as one more unveiling happened tonight.
It was for the six celebrities to battle it out to win the show, with a number of famous stars already been booted out and unmasked. Steph McGovern was the latest to leave, being revealed as the celebrity behind Tomato Sauce last week, whilst Pillar and Post - unmasked as David Seaman and Frankie Poultney, were forced to pull out due to injury.
Host Joel Dommett led the proceedings in another of his sharp suits, whilst the remaining six contestants fought to keep their masks finally on and make it into the closing stages of the competition, with just a few weeks to go until the winner is announced.
And following Liam's shock reveal, Masked Dancer viewers flocked to Twitter to share their disbelief.
"I cannot believe it's him. Never would have guessed," one stunned fan tweeted.
"OMG! I had a feeling it would be Liam. There were so many baking references," another shared.
"Peter Crouch was so far off with his Olly Murs guess lol," someone else mocked.
While a fourth quipped: "Liam has got some serious moves. Who would have thought it?"
The remaining five stars left are Onomatopoeia, Sea Slug, Scissors, Pearly King and Odd Socks, with the panel and fans at home desperate to find out the identities behind the masked dancer's.
It comes after Frankie and David were devastated after being forced to quit the show due to an ankle injury, which Frankie sustained during a rehearsal for the ITV show when she wasn't wearing her costume.
In a statement, Frankie said of leaving the competition: "We were gutted as we absolutely loved every minute! It was great fun but a tumble meant our Masked journey came to an end too soon, we had such a blast and we were sad that we had to hang up our masks without being able to share our final dance with you all! We have loved being part of this series and we wish the other competitors the best of luck as we continue to watch at home and try to guess who all the other celebrities are!"
Meanwhile, Steph McGovern was "thrilled" to have taken part in the show.
She said: "I love the show and I love dancing. Getting to dance as a completely different person/character is thrilling! I loved it. From the moment I saw the costume/mask I loved it. I don’t think anyone pictures me as being cute or saucy, so it was the perfect disguise."
*The Masked Dancer continues Saturdays at 6.30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
