The woman at the centre of a "love rival" murder trial says she's found love again and wants to move on with her life.
Mary Lowry, from Bansha, Co Tipperary, says she is now in a new relationship and paid tribute to her former lover Bobby Ryan, calling him "a lovely man".
Following the conviction of farmer Patrick Quirke for the murder of Mr Ryan, Mary told Extra.ie: "I am in a new relationship.
The tearful widow said:"I was a witness in a case and it’s over. I went to court and I told the truth. I’ve had enough of courts.
"Pat Quirke killed someone and he is in jail now. Bobby Ryan was a lovely man."
Larissa Nolan comment: 'Where is the support for vulnerable Mary Lowry after Moonlight trial?'
She added: "There are no winners here… this isn’t about winning. It’s going to take a long time [to get on with life]. I have three boys and their father died of cancer.
"I just want to get on with my life and in the way I would have wanted to with Bobby Ryan.
"I just want to be left alone… I want to be able to go out in my garden and enjoy it."
Bobby Ryan's daughter says she is haunted by the image of her dad's body lying in concrete pit
It's understood Mary has been dating her new love interest for over a year and he is a farmer.
The couple have been spotted dancing at country music events and socialising at Mary's local pub in Bansha.
A friend said: "Mary is a lovely person… She and [he] have been going out together for a long time now.
"They are going out for well over a year and when you see them together they are really happy. They are content and Mary is happy out."
Another added: "He is a big tall man… he has to be 6ft 2in or 6ft 3in.
"They seem very much happy together. They go to the pub in Bansha and they also go dancing."
