Marvin Humes has revealed all about the secret to a happy marriage with Rochelle Humes.
Speaking to the Mirror and other press at Capital FM Summertime Ball with Barclaycard on Sunday, the singer and presenter explained how he and wife Rochelle juggle their successful careers alongside an idyllic family life.
“I think for us we appreciate our luck and I’m just lucky that I’m with someone I love and I’m best friends with,” the dad-of-three proudly stated backstage at Wembley football ground.
"Just because we’re in the same industry, that doesn’t mean anything. For us, we met and we could have been in other jobs and we would have still be together.
"I don’t know what the secret is to be honest. We just do normal things and go on date nights and stuff.
"We’ve got three amazing kids. We’re mum and dad, husband and wife, and we’re friends and it’s like… I dunno, we just sort of make it work - touch wood.”
Marvin's sweet comments about his marriage comes after wife Rochelle insisted that she wishes more men were like her husband of almost 10 years.
The former Saturdays singer first began dating the JLS hunk in 2010, and the couple moved in together three months later.
Marvin popped the question while the couple enjoyed a romantic holiday on the Caribbean Island of Antigua over the New Year in 2011, and they tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in July 2012 at Blenheim Palace.
Rochelle, who shares three children with the 36-year-old, appeared in a video for Glamour UK magazine to celebrate International Women’s Day back in March, and the couple stressed how important it is for men to support and uplift women.
The presenter and businesswoman said more men should be like her husband, and revealed just how supportive Marvin is of her career.
“We need men like him because, though in my career I have always been surrounded by so many strong amazing women, we can only go so far,” she said.
“We need to be singing from the same hymn sheet, we need to bridge that gap between men and women … otherwise we are on separate journeys," Rochelle added.
