Marvel's Sebastian Stan totally unrecognisable under prosthetics as he shoots new movie

Marvel movie star Sebastian Stan has shocked fans after completely transforming his face while shooting scenes of his latest thriller A Different Man.

The Romanian-American actor, 39, sported a full face of prosthetics as he transformed in his character, Edward, on the streets of New York City.

According to the film’s official IMDB page, the movie is centred around Stan’s character.

The synopsis reads: “A Different Man tells the story of Edward.

“After undergoing a facial reconstructive surgery, he becomes fixated on an actor in a stage production based on his former life.”

According to Slash Film, the movie will “likely touch upon the stigmas and portrayals of disability in the arts, as well as what a truly normal life is”.

Based on posts on Stan’s official Instagram page, which boasts over 9 million followers, production began in the big apple in mid-July.

The movie buff website predicts that the thriller will likely be released mid-2023.

“If the editing process is quick, there is even the chance that it could be released by the end of 2022, but that admittedly is unrealistic,” they said on their website.

The film fans reckon the flick might not even make it to cinemas and could be released straight onto streaming platforms.

“The distributor currently has relationships with Apple TV+ and Showtime,” they revealed.

“No matter where it ends up released, though, ‘A Different Man’ is poised to make a splash due in part to its plot and the actors joining Stan for the film.”

Joining Stan in the movie is Norwegian actress Renate Reinsve who is best known for starring in the ‘The Worst Person in the World’.

Her performance earned her the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress, and a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Also on the cast list is British actor and television presenter Adam Pearson, who posed for a snap with Stan on the NYC film set.

He appeared in 2013s ‘Under the Skin’ and has been very open about living with neurofibromatosis type I, a condition which causes non-cancerous tumours to form on nerves throughout the body.

“The tumours are usually non-cancerous but may cause a range of symptoms,” say the NHS.

“Neurofibromatosis type 2 is much less common than NF1. It's covered separately as it has different symptoms and causes.”

The full line-up and list of ‘A Different Man’ characters are currently unknown.
