Marvel Phase 5's time grows short. The midsection of the comic book giant's Multiverse Saga is down to its last two projects, so there's no time like the present to learn more about that pair.
Below, I've rounded up the latest information and rumors on the final new movies (or, rather, movie) and Disney Plus TV show that'll be part of this Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) phase's slate. Indeed, you'll find out more about their release dates, cast lists, trailers, story specifics, and more. There's also a short list of every film and series that comprises MCU Phase 6 at the end, too, if you're so inclined to read about them.
Light spoilers follow for Marvel Phase 5's final two productions, so proceed with caution if you're actively avoiding any and all spoiler fare.
Marvel Phase 5: every upcoming movie and TV show

Here's a very brief lift of the last two Marvel Phase 5 movies and shows.
For the time being, I've included Ironheart as part of this line-up because I'm unsure whether it'll bookend MCU Phase 5 or kickstart Phase 6. Once I know more, I'll either keep it here or move it to my Marvel Phase 6 hub.
- Thunderbolts* – May 2, 2025
- Ironheart – June 24, 2025
Marvel Phase 5 line-up
Thunderbolts*
Release date: May 2, 2025
Director: Jake Schreier
Confirmed cast: Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Hannah-John Kamen, Lewis Pullman, Olga Kurylenko, Geraldine Viswanathan, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Billed as an anti-hero Avengers-style film, Thunderbolts* (don't ask about the asterisks) is the final Marvel Phase 5 film that'll storm into theaters. The MCU movie rode out its long-gestating creative storm to start filming in March 2024 and surprisingly wrapped production just three months later.
Stan's Bucky Barnes, Dreyfus' Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Pugh's Yelena Belova, Harbour's Red Guardian, Kurylenko's Taskmaster, Russell's US Agent, and Kamen's Ghost are all set to feature. Newcomer wise, Viswanathan will reportedly play Fontaine's right-hand person, while Top Gun: Maverick's Lewis Pullman is playing Bob Reynolds/Sentry.
Thunderbolts' first trailer dropped in September 2024, one month after Thunderbolts' D23 Expo 2024 teaser was leaked online. Then, last November, a new special look video was debuted at D23 Brazil before Thunderbolts' final trailer was unveiled during Super Bowl LIX. The trio all show off the movie's political paranoia-laced vibes, its ragtag crew of assembled vigilantes and government agents fighting with and against one another, and proving that it'll be as amusing as it is melodramatic and action-packed.

Ironheart

Release date: June 24, 2025
Directors: Samantha Bailey and Angela Barnes
Main cast: Dominique Thorne and Anthony Ramos
This Marvel Phase 5 crime-centric TV show, which is slated to arrive in June, has been written by Chinaka Hodge (Snowpiercer). Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is one of Ironheart's executive producers, too.
Thorne's Riri Williams/Ironheart will star in her own MCU project after playing a supporting role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Meanwhile, Ramos (In The Heights) will play Parker Robbins, aka The Hood, who specializes in dark magic, and there are rumors Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat) will portray Mephisto, a previously rumored WandaVision villain.
Shared after Marvel's D23 Expo 2024 panel, Disney revealed a first hint at its plot, which reads: "Ironheart pits technology against magic when Riri Williams – a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world – returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins, aka 'The Hood'."
Ironheart's first-look footage was revealed in a Marvel 85th anniversary video in late 2024 and it showed Williams flying through some Chicago traffic in her Iron Man-inspired supersuit. The studio's 2025 Look Ahead teaser also treated us to 15 new seconds of Ironheart, which included official looks at Ramos' antagonist and Williams' new white and silver super-suit.
