Martine McCutcheon looks slimmer than ever as she puts up stunning Christmas tree

Martine McCutcheon looked slimmer than ever as she put up her Christmas tree with a twinkle in her eye.

The mum-of-one, 46, got into the festive spirit sporting a gorgeous black silk dress from Ghost, which set off her raven locks a treat.

Telling fans she'd decided to go "all things John Lewis" this year, the ex-EastEnder decorated her Christmas tree with an array of beautiful white baubles and cream pom-poms.

She then moved her attention to dressing the table, which looked elegant with gilt-rimmed plates and candles.

Wishing her followers a Happy Christmas, Martine signed off raising a glass of bubbly before doing a little twirl.

The Love Actually star often treats fans to pics of her looking fabulous following her impressive weight loss.

After being inundated with compliments from admiring followers, the actress recently opened up about her diet as well as the importance of keeping active.

"With every meal I make sure to have loads of fruit and veg, not too much dairy not too much red meat," Martine told Closer magazine.

"When you're doing that daily, you're allowing yourself that little bit of space where you can have the freedom to still have a little bit of what you fancy."

The actress also spoke about her exercise routine, saying: "For me, it's a gentle 20-min walk every day.Walking in nature helps me mentally. It sets me up with the right tone of the day and physically helps with my ME and fibromyalgia."

Martine was first diagnosed with ME in 2011. The condition is also known as chronic fatigue syndrome and is a long-term illness with several symptoms, including tiredness, muscle pain and a sore throat.

The actress spoke about how the illness affects her last year, telling Hello! magazine: "I look at it that when I get symptoms or when my body starts clanging, it's a sign for me to pace myself, rest.

"So, yeah, I've definitely learned to look at it as a good messenger rather than something that simply gets in the way."

Martine is married to Jack McManus, who she shares son Rafferty, eight, with.

The doting mum often posts pics of the happy trio and says for her family comes first.

The talented actress admitted she 'turns down' most job offers to spend time with her son and husband.

Speaking to the Mirror, she said: "With filming, you have to be on call 24/7 and it's normally 17-hour days. So that's the reason why, for movies and TV dramas, I've taken a step back."
