Martin Roberts has announced the death of his beloved father Norman as he shared a tearful video.
Homes Under The Hammer host Martin, 59, posted the heartbreaking video on his Twitter this morning.
Battling tears in the video, Martin revealed his father died peacefully at the age of 90.
He said losing his parent is "something we all have to deal with" but explained how he felt "really alone and horrible" in the heartbreaking video.
Martin was clearly incredibly upset in the clip as he began: "So I don't know if I should really be posting this video or not but, I guess people deal with things in different ways.
"This is a very private thing but I kind of just need to surround myself with as many people as I can who care right now."
He continued: "My dad died yesterday. He was 90 and he had a great life and he died peacefully, he died at home and he wasn't in pain so that's great but it doesn't... well it does help but it doesn't help right now," Martin then broke down.
He continued: "The loss of a parent is something we all have to deal with and there's much worse losses I know, the loss of a child and stuff like that.
"But right now I feel really alone and horrible. So any words you've got would be appreciated," Martin said as tears could be seen rolling down his face.
"I don't even know if I'll post this but... anyway," he said before taking a deep breath before he ended the clip with: "Thank you for being there anyway."
Martin, who also posted the same clip on his Instagram page, was inundated with messages of support.
One wrote: "Heartfelt condolences to you and yours Martin. Your Father must have been an incredible man to have shown you how to be such a warm and compassionate human being. He'll have been so proud of you".
Another added: "I’d like to thank you for your openness and allowing people to be there for you. You don’t know me but I would like to say that you are stronger than you realise and this pain only goes to show how strong the connection you had with your father is. Lots of love".
A third penned: "So sorry to hear about your Dad Martin sending big hugs".
"Nothing prepares you for this moment. Take care," another added alongside a red heart emoji.
And a fifth said: "Oh mate, I'm so sorry. Everyone has their own way of dealing with loss, and there is no perfect way either. Take each day moment by moment, and allow yourself time to grieve. It will get easier, but never mind that today. Just keep on breathing for now xxx".
Martin's dad Norman tended to stay out of the limelight, but spoke out to reveal how Martin once nearly died in a jungle boat accident while he appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2016.
Norman said at the time: "It was at night and they were returning from the expedition. They hit some rocks in the river.
"The boat overturned and they had to swim for it.
"It was terrifying for him. They lost everything."
