Arsenal enjoyed one of their best seasons post-Arsene Wenger this year with a second-placed finish in the Premier League and return to the UEFA Champions League.
The Gunners led the way at the top of England's top division for the majority of the season and looked on course to lift their first title since 2004. However, a mixture of injuries and unforeseen results meant Manchester City won their fifth title in six years.
Despite not achieving the ending many would have hoped for, the 2022/23 season will go down in history as, perhaps, the year that Arsenal returned as one of England's best teams. Mikel Arteta has built a tremendous squad, boasting some of the game's best players.
With Aaron Ramsdale becoming one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes formed a solid partnership in defence while captain Martin Odegaard produced sizzling numbers from midfield with 23 goal contributions.
Bukayo Saka is viewed by many as the Premier League's best right winger after another superb season at the Emirates Stadium and Gabriel Martinelli finished joint top-scorer in left-wing. It's fair to say the Gunners are on the up.
With all that being said, of the four nominees of football.london's Arsenal player of the season poll, there can only be one winner.

Over 5,000 supporters casted their vote and Odegaard comes out on top with over half of the votes (58%). Saka was his closest competition with 22% of the vote while Granit Xhaka and Ramsdale picked up 10% of the votes.
Next season Odegaard and the Gunners will be hoping to step up another level as they look to compete for the Premier League title again and butt heads with Europe's elite in the Champions League.
