Martin Odegaard reacts on Instagram after what he did when Reiss Nelson scored Arsenal's winner

It felt like a million things were happening all at once after Reiss Nelson netted a dramatic winner for Arsenal against Bournemouth.

The winger, who was effectively only in the Gunners' matchday squad as a result of Eddie Nketiah not being risked because of an ankle injury, made quite the impact after replacing Emile Smith Rowe in the 69th minute as he claimed the assist for Ben White's goal which brought the home side back to 2-2.

But with Arsenal staring the prospect of dropping points at home against a side in a relegation battle right in the face, Nelson popped up with his third and potentially most important goal of the season so far - with a quite stunning strike considering it was the last kick of the game.

Cue wild scenes from supporters, Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal players and coaching staff alike inside the Emirates Stadium. From Ben White celebrating right in front of Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto to William Saliba brilliantly kicking the corner flag, a lot was going on before everyone engaged in a celebratory huddle.

In fact, it appeared that Nelson - the scorer of a 97th-minute winner to keep the Gunners five points clear at the top of the Premier League table - was the coolest person inside the ground.

Meanwhile, as the ball hit the back of the net, footage shows that Martin Odegaard collapsed to the floor. The Arsenal captain was obviously the furthest player away as it was his inswinging corner that was headed away only for the ball to fall kindly for the club's Hale End graduate at the edge of the box.

Eventually, the Norway international got up off the floor to join in the team celebrations and took to Instagram after the game to sum up his emotions with a four-word message that read: "This is the Arsenal!!" and this prompted responses from Nelson and Gunners legend Ian Wright.

A simple yet effective message from the Arsenal captain, whilst Arteta reflected further on what turned out to be a whirlwind afternoon in N5 as the hosts conceded after nine seconds, found themselves two goals down before completing a memorable turnaround.

"Everybody is overwhelmed," the Spaniard said in the post-match press conference. "It was madness from the first seconds with that routine and we defended so poorly. Then we had to climb a mountain against ten men behind the ball. We tried in every single way, we didn’t score and suddenly we are 2-0 down from a set play.

"After that it was don’t lose shape or discipline, do all the simple things right and we did that. We showed a lot of maturity and resilience. We scored one and then the atmosphere and energy changed. 31 shots and when scored second then it was ‘throw the toys out and let's go for it.’ The subs made a huge impact and I am so happy for Reiss today. It was an incredible day in the end."
