MoneySavingExpert founder Martin Lewis has reminded people that they have just days left to claim their free £150 rebate to help towards gas and electricity bills. Anyone who hasn't claimed before November 30 could lose the money for good.
Taking to Twitter, Martin shared an article from the MSE website, and explained: "Are you in council tax band A-D? You were entitled to a £150 cost of living rebate earlier this year.
"It was automatic if you pay council tax by direct debit. Others had to claim. 300,000 still haven't claimed and only have til 30 Nov."
Martin shared a link to an article offering more information on the MSE website.
The article explains: "Under the rebate scheme, councils are making a £150 non-repayable payment to households in council tax bands A to D in England, Scotland and Wales. The vast majority of households, around 19.1million, have already received their payment. If you pay your council tax bill by direct debit, your £150 payment will have been automatically paid.
"If you don't pay your council tax by direct debit, you'll need to contact your local council to claim the payment."
You can still be eligible for the money even if you don't pay council tax - for example if you are in a student household or if you get a 100% rebate already.
The article adds: "There won't be any further extension after the 30 November. If you don't claim the payment by this date, your council may decide to apply the rebate as a credit to your council tax account, if you have one. "
