Martin Lewis has warned the millions of people who own a Tesco Clubcard to use the retailer's petrol stations as often as possible between now and June 14.
This is because a huge change is set to come into force, which will impact the number of Clubcard points you earn at forecourts, MyLondon reports.
From the middle of June, the loyalty scheme will offer one point for every two litres of fuel purchased instead of one point for every £2 spent on fuel. Due to the current average price of two litres of unleaded (£2.90 according to RAC) and diesel (£3.20), customers will have to spend more on fuel to earn the same amount of Clubcard points, assuming fuel prices remain above £1 per litre until the change.

However, if fuel prices were to drop below £1 per litre, customers would start to earn more Clubcard points under the new scheme.
Average unleaded prices last dropped to below £1 a litre in May 2020, while diesel prices last dipped below this threshold in 2016, according to the RAC. This change applies to all Tesco Petrol filling stations, but not to Esso stations with a Tesco Express since Clubcard points cannot be earned on fuel purchases there.
Additionally, Tesco Bank customers who use their credit card as a Clubcard to collect points and pay for fuel will also be affected.
Separately, Mr Lewis adds that, from May 2, the minimum amount you need to spend on home delivery to avoid being charged is increasing from £40 to £50. The minimum basket value for click and collect deliveries, where you order online but collect from stores, will, however, remain at £25.
