Martin Lewis team shares Argos £40 heater steal that costs 'pennies' to run

Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis' team have shared a brand new heating tip on his website, causing an influx of shoppers to rush to Argos for a cheap item.

As many people struggle to keep warm through the cost of living crisis, meaning they are keeping the heating off to save money, this little £40 heater could save the day. Manchester Evening News reports that Martin said 'halogen heaters' are a cost-friendly way to keep warm in the home.

On Martin's Money Saving site, halogen heaters are recommended as a way of warming up quickly. The website reads: "Halogen heaters are directional. Once on, you instantly feel the heat. As soon as you turn them off, the heat quickly dissipates.”

And while Martin hasn't mentioned any specific brands, this £40 halogen heater from Argos is sticking out as one of the highest-rated ones on the market right now. There are thousands of five-star reviews for this heater, as shoppers rave about its benefits.

One person wrote: "My wife required a little extra heating whilst watching TV - so, a few weeks ago, I ordered a Beldray heater online and collected it the next next morning. It could not have been more simple and straight forward - thankfully, my wife is delighted with it.

And a third wrote: "I have bought the beldray halogen heater for this year winter it is amazing ways to keep warm with very little use of electricity so I recommend this product for the rest of my friends and family were the life in Southampton and scat land and thanks from Argos to bring this product in the are market."

More comments read: "Very good value for money, cheap to run, safety feature causes cutout if they're knocked over and they put out a fantastic amount of heat (I bought two 'cos they're quite compact and it means we can heat upstairs and down); would recommend and would buy again."

And another person said: "Great little heater. Warms up a small room in no time. Really pleased. Saves putting the central heating on."

Halogen heaters are estimated to cost around 40 pence an hour to run, and the Beldray 1.2kW Halogen Heater can be bought for £40 on the Argos website.
