Martin Lewis was unable to answer a woman who was asking for his advice as he returned to ITV's This Morning on Wednesday.
The Money Saving Expert founder regularly appears on the daytime show to offer his financial expertise to people who are struggling or in need of guidance. Mr Lewis is known for his switching and money-saving tips, but as the cost of living worsens, recent events have left even him at a loss at how to help people.
This Morning viewers were invited to get in touch if they needed his advice.

One caller asked if there was any help available to her, as a 70-year-old who looks after her grandchildren full time. It came after Mr Lewis shared a "little-known" benefit available to grandparents who are under State Pension age.
Specified Adult Childcare credits can be awarded as National Insurance years, meaning thousands of pounds can be added to pension pots. But as the woman was already receiving a pension, he explained she would not be eligible.
Another caller, Lisa, asked Mr Lewis if he thought she should sell her house and rent instead. Martin said it was "quite a blanket question" without any more information.
Holly said: "She said it would 'make their lives easier', maybe she means financial ease. That's the only way I can read between the lines".
Mr Lewis added: "If you're struggling with the cost of living, it may be a reasonable solution. I can't give an answer, it would be irresponsible to give... I'm sorry".
