Martin Lewis has provided clarification on who will receive money from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and what to do if you have not yet received money you're owed.
As millions of Brits scramble their finances to try and fight off the cost of living crisis during an especially vulnerable winter period, many may be expecting to receive extra money from the government. From Cost of Living Payments to energy discounts, there is a wide range of support being offered over the coming months.
However, it can be confusing for people to understand which payments and discounts they are eligible for. Fortunately, Mr Lewis provided some clarification on the Money Show last night.

Speaking on his ITV programme, Mr Lewis said: "You've got the second automatic payment for people on benefits which is £324 when...for most people it will be paid between November 8 and 23. Only people who are on working tax credit or child tax credit, and don't get any other benefits, may get it a bit later.
"To be eligible for this, you have to have been claiming one of the eligible benefits between August 26 and September 25 and you're due it even if you didn't get the first payment." He added: "There is also the £15 Warm Home Discount for many people due to be paid soon which is for those on means-tested benefits."
Mr Lewis also discussed how pensioners could be eligible for a financial boost during the winter period.
He continued: "If there is a state pensioner living in a household between September 19 and 25, that's the eligibility date. Then, there will be £300 paid to that household - it will be automatically paid on top of the Winter Fuel Payment of £100 to £300 which depends on age and other factors."
Meanwhile, some people who are already due certain payments, such as the Disability Cost of Living Payment, from the DWP are yet to receive them and are unsure of what to do.
One person asked Mr Lewis about what they can do if they haven't received their £150 disability payment. She asked: "I haven't received my £150 disability payment. I've even had a letter from the DWP stating I am entitled to it. What can I do?"
In response, Mr Lewis explained that this is a common complaint he's been seeing on social media. He stated that he asked the DWP and had finally received an answer.
Mr Lewis stated that the DWP told him that "most people in that circumstance will be because their payment has bounced and they will be trying to repay it but if you're not getting it and you think you are entitled to it, do check the eligibility criteria. There is a form on GOV.UK that people can fill in to make sure that they're going to get it."
