Rewards cards can be used for your everyday spending and you can earn cashback or points that can be transferred into vouchers, or money off at various popular retailers. The new American Express offer is running for a limited-time only and it will see new sign-ups earning 30,000 points when they spend £3,000 in their first three months of membership. And while that might sound like a lot of money, it can be something that is achievable while doing your shopping in the build-up to Christmas.

These points are then worth enough for a £150 Amazon or M&S gift card, which is perfect for anyone looking to get in some Christmas gifts and shopping over the next few months. Foodies can also get £5 cashback on two £5+ Deliveroo orders per month.

Membership for the new card is free in year one, but will be charged at £160 a year, so it is worth popping that date in the diary if you don't want to pay anything passed that date.
