Martin Lewis' Money Saving Experts share cheap £12 SIM deal for phone users

The consumer team at Money Saving Experts are urging all phone users to go for this cheap phone deal, as phone bills and device plans have skyrocketed across the UK.

Many consumers are ditching their contracts for more affordable SIM deals amid the cost of living crisis, which means there are some competitive prices out there between network providers. And the latest deal from iD Mobile is the cheapest on the market.

Users can find 100GB of data for just £12 a month, other prices on the market for the same amount fo data can cost as much as £27 a month, more than double the cost for similar benefits as The Mirror pointed out.

The deal includes Unlimited texts, calls and free EU roaming in around 50 countries but it's the contract policy that makes the difference between this being a 'steal' or not. The 100GB ID Mobile deal is available to buy on both a rolling 30-day plan and a set 12-month contract, so users weary of price changes have flexibility.

The £12 price is set on both options too meaning those who opt for the rolling plan won't pay an added premium to do so, which is often the case with rival providers. If for whatever reason the price fluctuates during the next few months customers will be able to opt out without having to pay an inflated exit fee.

Having scoured the current 100GB data deals on offer at Vodafone and EE this new deal works out at hundreds of pounds cheaper, without the pressure of committing to a long-term fixed price.

Vodafone offers a 100GB SIM-only deal for £27 a month but customers here have to stick to its full 24-month plan, which in total would cost £648.

EE also offers a similar 125GB data deal, branded as one of its 'lowest SIMS' but customers here would be paying £22 a month and tied into a 24-month long plan. This works out to £264 a year or £528 for the full contract length.
