Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has issued an urgent message to anybody waiting on the second Cost of Living payment. Millions of Brits on Universal Credit and Benefits are currently awaiting the second Cost of Living payment, which has been promised to help people pay with mounting food and energy bills.
Over the weekend, the Department for Work and Pensions told people: "We haven't confirmed when the second payment will be made yet. We’ll be keen to let people know clearly and widely when there is a date to announce." Now Martin has provided people with an update.
The announcement left millions of people confused and worried about paying their bills. Now Martin Lewis has spoken out.

Posting on Twitter he said: "I'm hearing we're going to get news pretty soon (possibly today) on when the 2nd cost of living payment for those on benefits / Universal credit will come. I'll let you know as soon as I know."
You may get a payment of £650 paid in two lump sums of £326 and £324 if you get payments of any of the following:
- Universal Credit
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income Support
- Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
