This week's email, which landed in inboxes on Tuesday evening, shared a "last chance" warning to bag a £200 bonus by switching to HSBC. Writing on MSE, Mr Lewis explained there are just two days left to make the switch if you want the cash.

High street banks often offer cash incentives to tempt new customers to join them, and HSBC is offering newcomers who switch to its Advance account a £200 bonus, as well as a 5% savings account and a 3% easy-access account. Customers will need to deposit a minimum of £1,500 once to get the bonus, but there is no regular pay-in required.

You'll also need to start the switch within 30 days, including two or more direct debits or standing orders. To be eligible you also can't have had an HSBC current account, or opened one with its sister bank First Direct, since January 2019.
