Travelling can often have many hidden or extortionate prices meaning your holiday can end up costing more than expected.
However, Martin Lewis has shared a handy tip to help save potentially hundreds of pounds. He targeted those travelling from Manchester Airport who may be facing sky-high parking fees.
Talking on his ITV show, Martin Lewis Money Show Live, the penny pinching pro explained how you could save hundreds of pounds by booking a parking space ahead of departure. He used Manchester Airport as one of the main examples for how holidaymakers are paying over the odds to keep their car secure while they are away.

He explained that those wanting to use the car park for a week can end up paying up to £400. But one simple tip can help to save hundreds.
Martin advised travellers to book in advance. He explained that doing so means passengers only have to pay £130 for the same length holiday - meaning a saving of £270 for the week.
He said: "Parking at the airport, book ahead. Even if it's on the day. Given an example, we found one case where, if you turn up at Manchester Airport and paid there it's £400 for the week.
"If you had pre-booked that morning, it was £130. Better still, if you had booked earlier, there are comparison sites for that too."
