Martin Lewis has said that people concerned about the cost of living crisis but want to use LED lights this Christmas should not panic.
It comes as energy bills soar for millions of households across the UK with many, understandably, cautious about how much electricity they are using. However in some good news, the financial guru has said that the cost of running lights such as on your Christmas tree is very small.
The MoneySavingExpert founder appeared alongside Susanna Richards on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday (November 30) and said that if you are to use LED Christmas tree lights, the cost would be minimal regardless of whether you had them on for an hour or several hours throughout the day.

Addressing the concerns he explained: "A little bit of good news. As long as you have got LED lights, not the incandescent lights as they are expensive, a string of 100, which is a pretty decent amount, if you were to have them on six hours every day over a month, would cost 18p roughly.
"Eighteen pence for the month. So, they are not very expensive to run.
"I know that many people who are struggling as turning off their Christmas lights. But as long as you have LED lights, they shouldn't be too prohibited to keep your Christmas lights on."
According to Homebase, who looked into the running costs, every UK household is set to spend a combined £189 million in energy on lighting up the Christmas tree however thankfully, across each household, the total cost is a lot less scary.
The home experts say that it will cost around £6.79 to light up the Christmas tree this year per household.
They add: "No one wants to cut corners on Christmas cheer, especially after the last few years, but a few tweaks such as switching out old Christmas lights for ones with energy-efficient LED bulbs can really help keep costs down.
"The difference between LED and non-led lights in terms of energy usage is stark. According to the Energy Saving Trust, LED bulbs use 80 per cent less energy than halogen bulbs.
"To put this into context, the same single string on LED Christmas (mentioned above) would cost £6.79 to light throughout the festive period this year.
"For the same equivalent in halogen Christmas lights, that £6.79 figure would rise to a whopping £33.95 over the festive period."
