Martin Freeman has teased Black Panther fans with news of the upcoming film during his appearance on BBC'S The One Show. Freeman, 50, made the comments on the talk show after host Jermaine Jenas put him on the spot.
Jenas, 39, admitted to being a "massive Marvel fan" and couldn't help enthusiastically quiz the Black Panther star about the sequel. Black Panther was released in 2018.
It received numerous accolades including seven nominations at the 91st Academy Awards and the first nomination for Best Picture for a superhero film. The sequel was filmed after the passing of lead Chadwick Boseman who died in 2020 after being diagnosed with cancer in 2016.

Speaking about the sequel, Freeman said: "Well obviously there was a big change when Chadwick Boseman passed. So that's the main change, there's no T'Challa anymore."
Freeman then ran into difficulty trying to answer a clearly excited Jenas's question, without giving away too much. Freeman continued: "I mean, you know, you've interviewed enough people.
"I start to say something then I go 'no I'll be shot'. I think you can expect another very good film.
"When Ryan Coogler, the director and writer took me through what it was going to be, I was like 'wow'. It [the film] takes a direction... I didn't see that coming in a billion years.
"I think it's going to be really, really exciting."
Host Alex Jones came to Freeman's defence as she jokingly added: "Don't say any more, you'll be out of the franchise."
