Mayflies starring Martin Compston has been nominated for the 'Best Drama Mini Series' at the Broadcasting Press Guild awards.
The Scots actor took to social media to share the news with his followers, thanking his co-stars as he tagged them in his Instagram story.
The BBC drama adaptation of Andrew O'Hagan's critically acclaimed novel has gone down a treat with viewers as many took too social media praising the show as well as the cast.

The positive reviews continue to flood in, with Martin Compston taking to Instagram at the end of last year to share his gratitude following the reaction, reports Glasgow Live.
"Hard to put in to words the gratitude we all feel for the reaction to the show", he said.
"Anyone at all reaching out always lovely but heartfelt thank you particularly to those in the midst of a diagnosis and those dealing with their grief in the aftermath. Power to you.
"Genuinely means the world and has made this job a career a highlight for us" the Greenock-born actor added.
The hit drama, also staring Tony Curran and Ashley Jenson, tells the story of true friendship as tragedy unfolds. Lifelong friends Jimmy [Compston] and Tully [Curran] are forced to come to terms with heartbreaking news as Tully receives a terminal cancer diagnosis.
Tully then emotionally asks his best mate Jimmy to help him travel to Switzerland to allow him to die on his own terms.
Mayflies will go head to head with I Am Ruth, I Hate Suzie Too, Karen Pirie and Vardy vs Rooney: A Courtroom Drama in the battle for the award.
