Martin Compston gives Line of Duty co-stars hometown tour ahead of charity event

The Line of Duty crew were in town last night and it appears there are a few 'sare heids' this morning.

The AC-12, made up of Martin Compston, Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar and show creator Jed Mercurio, went along to Port Glasgow Town Hall for a very special event in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.

Tickets for the one-off event sold out in less than one minute when they went on sale last month.

And now on Instagram Martin Compston has shared an insight into the night with his Line of Duty co-stars.

He wrote: "Hard to describe just how amazing last night was.

"Had to pinch myself at times the Line of Duty team were cutting about Inverclyde thank you to the amazing staff at the Port Town Hall, the wonderful supportive boisterous crowd, Gordon Smart for hosting, all of our sponsors and of course the reason we all do this the incredible team at @ardgowan_hospice to watch all the carry on including remaking that infamous tiktok the recorded version be available to stream on the 24th. Thanks to everybody who came you left AC12 a very happy team."

It really looked like a fantastic evening, with 'the Gaffer' even treating the audience to a rendition of Wild Mountain Thyme.

Vicky McClure took to Instagram to thank everyone for turning out on the night and raising an amazing amount of money for a fantastic cause.

She wrote: "Gang back together for a very special charity @ardgowan_hospice. Thanks to everyone who came tonight!

"We had such a laugh!! Big thanks @gordonsmart for hosting the evening and trying your best to ask Jed about series 7……. #AC12 #lineofduty."

On her Instagram story, Vicky revealed she was feeling a bit worse for wear.
