It's a battle Glaswegians know all too well - accent vs voice recognition.
And one of the foot soldiers in the battle is actor Martin Compston, who filmed him infuriating (but hilarious) stand off with Siri.
The Greenock-born actor explained he had recently purchased an Apple Macbook to continue recording his podcast Restless Natives with Gordon Smart, and setting it up was trickier than anticipated.

Sharing the clip on Twitter, he wrote: "The war between Scotland and voice recognition continues, one day we shall prevail. Got my first ever laptop so @gordonsmart and me can continue talking p*** to each on an international level. As ye can see it didn’t start well. #RestlessNatives episode 15 out now."
In the video, he says, "Hey Siri," and is soundly ignored by the computer, leading to him walking off in a huff.
The 38-year-old actor then gave it another go, saying, "Hey Siri, what does the rest of my day look like?" once again to no avail. But when his wife, Tianna spoke, Siri recognised it immediately, leading to another sweary outburst.
But when Martin repeated his question in an English accent, it was immediately recognised.
You can watch the hilarious clip above, but be warned - there is some strong language!
