Martin Compston 'beaming' after Scots Line of Duty event sells out in less than a minute

Greenock-born actor Martin Compston has been left 'beaming' after a Line of Duty event taking place near where he grew up sold out in less than one minute.

The event - An Audience with AC-12 - will be held in Port Glasgow Town Hall on Saturday March 19 and will feature Compston being interviewed live alongside co-stars Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar.

After going on sale at 6pm yesterday, the tickets for the one-off event sold out in less than one minute, reports Glasgow Live.

Taking to Twitter to thanks fans, Martin made reference to a classic AC-12 line which has hooked viewers across the country.

He wrote: "Jesus Mary Joseph and the wee donkey that sold out in less than a minute.

"Absolutely beaming thank you so much for the support and apologies to anyone who missed out.

"We’re gonna look into streaming it for those reaching out.

"Thanks again gonna be some night!"

The proceeds from all sales will go to Ardgowan Hospice.
