Martha Stewart's festive St. Patrick's Day table setting incorporates elevated dishware and stunning greenery – recreate her look starting at $15

Martha Stewart.

The words 'elevated' and 'St. Patrick's day decor' don't typically go together, but Martha Stewart is anything but typical. The doyenne of homes took to Instagram to share about her 'impromptu' St. Patrick's Day dinner, and the tablescape is stunning.

Martha has set the table in equal parts white and green, for a festive look that doesn't feel over the top. It features a backdrop of a white tablecloth with white serving dishes down the middle. Each place setting includes a green and gold china charger and soup bowl, emblazoned with Martha's 'S' initial. For placemats, she has opted to use large leaves, likely harvested from her thriving garden. She continues the woodland theme by placing her signature faux bois planters along the tablescape, filled to the brim with verdant leaves.

These natural materials take Martha's spring tablescape to the next level, largely because the color of plants taps into the festive shades of this theme. It's a masterclass in uplifting a seasonal display; for instance, Valentine's Day could be decorated for with pink flowers, or Christmas with green and red plantlife.

To recreate Martha's scheme, we recommend a combination of green dishes with more traditional white and glass pieces. The look wouldn't be complete without Martha's beloved faux bois planters, or pieces from her jadeite collection.

Festive decor can be as elegant and stylish as any other table setting. This St. Patrick's day, go beyond shamrocks and faux pots of gold to tap into the beautiful of plants using Martha's technique.
