Spring cleaning season may still be a couple of months away, but what better way to start the new year than with a refresh of our homes (even if that means simply dusting and sweeping)?
We are getting some cleaning tips and inspiration on the Martha Moments' Instagram page, where we recently discovered a clip of the lifestyle guru herself discussing her favorite dusters and brooms, all of which come from the same heritage brand.
'Cleaning house can be really time-consuming, it can be a little bit tough if you don't have the right tools,' she states in the video. 'But when you do have the right tools it can be fun and actually rewarding.'
She goes on to show off a selection of brushes from Redecker, a family-owned brand originating in Germany named Redeken. Though this footage has lived through the decades, her favorites are still shoppable on Amazon today.

'This ostrich brush [available on Amazon] has very gentle plumes; non-scratch, very lightweight, and you can easily dust objects that are hung on your walls,' she explains. 'You can go over the surface of gilded mirrors, and you can even touch up some cobwebs on your paintings without any worry of damage. The handle is made out of sturdy ash, and it's very easy on your hands. It has a little hanger made out of a bit of rawhide at the end, so this should be hung upside down in your broom closet. It is a really excellent tool for those difficult-to-reach and delicate places.'
She also shows off a double-headed computer brush, which is useful on electronics as well as pianos.
'This brush is something that we all need,' she says. 'I keep this right next to my computer. It helps reduce the dust particle build-up on your electronics, even on your television screen.'
