The 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue was released Monday, and in it, 28 women were celebrated in the iconic annual edition. And of course, a select few women received the cover treatment.

Martha Stewart, Megan Fox, Kim Petras and Brooks Nader got the honor this time around, and with the announcement of the cover models some history was made.
Stewart, 81, became the oldest cover model in the publication’s history, and it’s fair to say her appearance will be a surprise to the Emmy-winner’s fan base, which is more accustomed to seeing her photographed in the author pages of her 99 lifestyle books rather than at the beach for Sports Illustrated.
Fox has been a constant in Hollywood since the actress broke through in 2007’s blockbuster hit Transformers. Since then, she has appeared in movies such as Jennifer’s Body, and she also stars as April O’Neil in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie series. In addition to SI Swimsuit, Fox also has graced the covers of Maxim, Rolling Stone and FHM.
Kim Petras, a German pop star, was the first transgender woman to win a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and is known for hit songs like “I Don’t Want It at All” and “Unholy.”
Last but not least, Brooks Nader made her annual return. The model won the 2019 Swim Search open casting call competition and has appeared in each issue of the publication since.
