Marseille centre-back Bamo Meite has emerged as a Rangers transfer target, according to a report.
It's claimed Philippe Clement's side hold an interest in Ivory Coast cap Bamo Meite.
The 23-year-old defender is reportedly a target for both Ranegrs and Montpellier in the January transfer window.
According to Telefoot journalist Saber Desfarges, Rangers are keen on a "dry loan" for Meite this month.
Meite has played just three times for OM this term but has been a regular unused sub on matchdays in Ligue 1.
However, it's claimed the French side could allow Meite to leave this month with active plans to recruit where necessary.
One issue, though, for clubs interested in Meite could be Marseille's desire to receive a full transfer fee for the defender rather than simply loan him out.

According to Desfarges, Marseille want "liquidity" despite interest in straightforward loan-only moves from Rangers and Montpellier.
The centre-back does have a release clause in his OM contract with team-mates Chancel Mbemba and Lillian Brassier also with similar key details in their terms.
"OM could recruit a new central defender and a full-back in the event of a departure.
"Mbemba, Brassier and Bamo Meité, among others, have a release voucher.
"The latter interests Glasgow Rangers and Montpellier who want a dry loan. OM wants liquidity."
Clement could be quickly forced into the transfer market this month after Dujon Sterling added to his defensive injury woes with John Souttar, Leon Balogun and Neraysho Kasanwirjo all sidelined.
Quizzed on possible transfer business this month after the draw with Hibs, Clement said: “That's something that Patrick will address.
“He wants to give that explanation about the plan for January."
