Melea King, the couple's estate agent, states she was contacted by the woman who "panicked a little" and asked to know what was going on.
She and her husband demanded that Ms King sort out the unusual situation after being unable to move into their dream home.
Two men were reportedly spotted at the property on Friday, where they told passersby to "stay away" from the house. According to the estate agent, they were attempting to take ownership of them property even though it was not theirs.
The couple then spoke to the men and asked what they were doing. At this point, they presented a lease for the property.
The husband and wife immediately called the police, who arrived and inspected the document. Ms King commented: "Once the police was on site, they took a look at the lease, and it was not accurate. It was not correct."
She said the couple has an "agreed sign ratified contract with the bank" and were therefore able to provide evidence of their contract.
A police officer arrived to investigate but told the couple that the incident was a "civil matter". The furious couple were left furious and demanded to know how the strangers were able to get into their house.
Ms King admitted the pair are deeply upset and revealed the dispute is taking too long to resolve.
She said: "Right now my clients are highly upset, and we just don't know what to do at this point. It should not be taking this long for this to be addressed."
