Married At First Sight UK star Marilyse Corrigan has been applauded for sharing an inspiring message. Marilyse, who embarked on a mission to find love in the 2021 series of the E4 matchmaking series, took to Instagram to say a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to be about losing weight.
Personal trainer Marilyse, 38, posted a throwback photo of herself on Instagram in workout gear captioned "underweight and weak." With another she wrote "unhappy and sad" and with a third picture of herself in denim mini shorts and a vest she said her "body shape had gone."
Marilyse then went on to post a smiling picture of herself in a sports bra and leggings saying "healthy weight and strong." With another picture of herself looking radiant in the sunshine in a cropped vest top she descibed herself as "happy and focused."

Marilyse told her followers: "Remember leading a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be about losing weight, it can be about gaining weight too. Eating the right foods and exercising can be a hard battle in both situations and mentally and physically challenging on our body. I know this, from experience and from the clients I have worked with over the years.
She added: "But there is light at the end of the tunnel, you can reach your goals and live the lifestyle you desire to be happy, healthier and stronger." Her message was applauded by followers including her Married At First Sight husband Franky Spencer, who she split from after the social experiment but remained good friends.
Thomas Hartley from last year's series told her: "You’re strong and beautiful." bird4171 told Marilyse: "Wow thank you for that! What an inspirational Insta."
niicola.yoga said: "So much better now my brave beautiful friend." queeniegemz praised: "Such a positive post and journey. I loved you on MAFS, so calm, collected and always classy!!" And teejay621 said: "You look awesome and posts like these should inspire women and girls of all ages."
Last week Marilyse announced that she had broken up from fellow MAFS sight star Matt Murray just weeks after talking wedding plans and kids. Matt, 32, was on a mission to find his future wife on the show last year.
Bonding over their experiences on the show, which sees brides and grooms meet their future husband or wife for the first time on their wedding day, led to romance blossoming between them. Matt had a turbulent time on the show when his marriage to Gemma Rose crumbled after it emerged he had feeings for co-star Whitney Hughes.
Marilyse took to her Instagram Stories to confirm they had split after being asked if they were still together. She said: “I’ve received multiple messages asking if Matt and I are still together.
"Out of respect to you guys and the support you’ve given us, of course it’s only fair to be clear. So the answer to this is no we are no longer together anymore but I do wish Matt all the best for his future.”
Matt shared a video message on his Instagram Stories as he told fans: "A lot of you over the past couple of weeks have asked questions about me and Marilyse being together or not and have we split up, are we still together.
"As a lot of you have probably just seen on Marilyse's story no we are not together anymore. We decided to leave it there. We are maybe just a little too different. But again I just wish Marilyse all the best in the future. It just is what it is."
