Married at First Sight UK's Gemma accuses TV show of faking reality

While some marriages are a success on Married at First Sight, others struggle to make their marriage work. This is the case for Gemma and Matt in the 2022 series of Married at First Sight.

And now the bride has claimed that the women on the latest series of the Channel 4 series, which is shown on E4, are being made to look "victims" while viewers are not seeing the "true" picture - and she also hit out at her groom for not having genuine intentions for signing up.

Despite getting off to a great start on their wedding day, their marriage quickly turned sour. The couple has clashed many times over Gemma's sexual comments, which Matt found awkward and embarrassing.

She added: "I felt for us the process existed, he didn't." Gemma went on to say that she felt women were being made "victims" on the show and has consistently said that the "narrative" Channel 4 is showing on the series is "not true".

After the dinner party episode, where Matt stormed out on Gemma again, she took to her Instagram story in tears. Beginning to cry she said: "If you guys saw the things that he said on the wedding day this whole narrative would be different. I wasn't the only one who made rude, crude comments." Gemma added: "I don't know why I'm being painted the way that I am"
