Married At First Sight UK couple say they 'barely spoke' on wedding day amid baby joy

Married At First Sight UK 's Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling has confessed they barely spoke on their wedding day as they await the arrival of their first child.

The couple, who announced they are expecting a child together in April, met for the first time on their wedding day on the social experiment series last year.

They found love having been put together by relationship experts on the show and recently spoke about their experience when they appeared on the Recapped At First Sight podcast.

The couple, both 26, admitted how bizarre the day of their wedding was, saying that they "barely spoke" on the day.

Podcast host Kat Shoob said: "You're meant to have a good time on your wedding day aren't you, its all heightened and then you get there [honeymoon] and the reality is you're with a stranger and you're like oh we don't get on."

Adam chipped in: "Me and Tayah barely spoke to each other on our wedding day because there was that much going on.

"The first time we had a proper deep conversation was on the plane."

The podcast also saw pregnant Tayah admit that the show’s theme tune still gives her anxiety.

Adam said: "It was strange watching it back.

"As soon as the bells came on, Tayah went 'It's giving me anxiety already'."

Tayah asked other podcast host and fellow former contestant Bob Voysey: "Bob, did you feel like that when you hear the bells before the advert break, it's like 'oh god'."

Bob replied: "It's just taking you back to that feeling isn't it."

Tayah and Adam will become first time parents to a baby girl in just six weeks.

After sharing their exciting news with the world, Tayah told OK! Magazine: "We’re so excited. “And the thing is we weren’t even trying! It just happened. I can’t believe it. We’re obviously just very fertile."

While Adam and Tayah's on screen wedding wasn't legally binding, they had planned to tie the knot later this year, but they’ve pushed the date back so they can focus on their pregnancy.
