Married At First Sight UK brides and grooms from 'most explosive' series reunite

As Married At First Sight Australia continues, the cast of one of the "most explosive" series in the UK have reunited one year after they all first met, and celebrated at a dinner party hosted by Jenna and Zoe - the only pair still together.

The UK series of MAFS began last September and produced some pretty wild and downright dramatic moments of television - from a shock recoupling that involved Whitney Hughes and Matt Murray (who didn't go the distance on the outside) and tension between various different participants, such as Thomas branding April a 'Llar', to a fiery reunion episode which showcased a ferocious argument between one couple who struggled to put the past behind them.

But despite this drama, it seems many of them remain firm friends, with eight of the contestants getting together for a fun night at one of their houses.

Posting on social media, Zoe Clifton - who was paired up with Jenna Robinson with whom she remains coupled up - shared a sweet selection of snaps of with her partner and other MAFS participants Sophie Brown, Chanita Stephenson, Adrian Anderson, Duka Cavolli, Pjay Finch and Kasia Martin celebrating.

Writing on Instagram, she penned: "A year since we all first met so thought it would be nice to have a get together… Thanks for coming guys… Mr Pickles had a great time." Mr Pickles refers to a 'pickled rat' that, in an interview with OK! magazine, was gifted to her by a friend.

Adrian, who attended the do, also posted his own carousel of images from the evening and wrote: "MAFS REUNION! A few pics from yesterdays get together actually have so many it was hard to choose! I’ll share some more on stories. It’s always such a good time seeing this lot! Zoe and Jenna had were kind enough to host us for a catch up!"

Those who were there soon commented on these posts with heartfelt messages like: "AMAZING night. thanks for being the hostess with mostess guys," wrote Chanita, alongside Duka, who said: "For the life of me I did not understand the pickled mouse/rat."

Kwame Badu added a single red heart emoji while Paul Brunson, expert on the show and professional matchmaker, added: "Love this!".

Married At First Sight Australia continues on Monday, April 17 at 7.30pm.
