Married at First Sight's Paul Brunson has 'major issue' after watching series back

Married At First Sight UK is almost coming to an end after an explosive 2022 series. The experiment sees total strangers paired together by three love experts and throughout the process have to decide if they want to stay together.

The couples make that decision at commitment ceremonies where they discuss their relationship with the love experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling, and Charlene Douglas. There are also dinner parties where the couples swap stories and share gossip as the experts watch on.

The latest dinner party saw Whitney Hughes and Matt Murray return to the experiment as a couple, despite not being expertly matched. The decision left their fellow stars, and viewers at home, pretty divided.

The episode also saw the couples send anonymous letters to one another about their marriages, a challenge that stirred up a lot of tension at the table. During the instalment, however, some viewers weren't too happy with the experts' opinions on things.

As they discussed the dinner party scenes the MAFS UK experts praised Whitney and Matt, as well as critisicing the "unfair" comments directed at George and April in the anonymous letters read out around the dinner table.

Sharing their thoughts with dating expert Paul on Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Love PCB but what is going on with the experts this episode??? Miles off reality!"

Responding, Paul explained to his 111k followers: "I completely agree. As I'm watching the series with you I realize a major issue is that we're not seeing what happens outside the dinner parties and commitment ceremonies. This year, the stories are moving so quick that without that further context, our commentary is off."

He added: "It appears that almost one week of content is being edited down to a single episode. I was there and even I am getting slightly lost."
